Photography is more than just taking pictures...
Creating amazing editorial photoshoots with some badass female boss bitches is literally my fave. So when Jess from @w_collective asked if I fancied doing something creative, of course my answer was yes & then when Jess said that amazing Cath would be involved who is the creator and owner of @bardojewellery I knew instantly this shoot would be magic.
Spring meets Victorian ghost vibes.
We didn't want the shoot to be at all bridal. We wanted it to have a more alternative Victorian ghost vibe. With the alternative beautiful goddesses that are Cath and Alice modelling alternative veils from W_Collective and alternative jewellery inspired by Latin Theology, Symbolic Spirituality and Ancient Culture and the amazing Jess creating beautiful styling which just fit the whole vibe so well. It came together beautifully.
Being creatively free
A lot of people ask why I do these types of shoots & honestly it's about being creatively free. It's about trying techniques I want to try without the pressure of getting it right first time or if it doesn't work it doesn't matter. It's about stepping out of my comfort zone & trying stuff I wouldn't get to try on shoots with clients or at weddings.
But then if that thing works, wow, then it gives me that extra little trick to use and try more. It builds my techniques and honestly, my confidence too.
