Buxton Pavilion Chilled Wedding

There’s something incredibly special about weddings that reflect a couple’s personalities so effortlessly. Hayley & Hannah’s day at Pavilion Gardens in Buxton was exactly that. From the morning, it was clear this day was going to be calming energy that just shows a whole couples love so honestly and effortlessly. I just want to bottle up and keep that feelng forever.

A Chilled Morning Together

Instead of getting ready separately, Hayley and Hannah chose to spend their morning together and it was honestly the best decision ever, more couples should do this. There’s something so intimate and grounding about being side by side as you get ready to marry your person. No nerves, no fuss, just a quiet kind of excitement shared between them because they are with their person that grounds them and ensures they feel the absolute safest.

The atmosphere that morning was so relaxed. Music playing softly in the background, cups of tea in hand and the two of them helping each other with little details. It gave the morning such a sense of calm and it completely set the tone for the rest of the day.

By choosing to get ready together, they created this bubble of togetherness right from the start and it meant everything felt so personal.

Portraits Before the ceremomy

Because they were already together, Hayley and Hannah decided to do their portraits before the ceremony and it turned out to be the perfect choice. We wandered out into Pavilion Gardens, which was absolutely glowing with golden autumnal light. The leaves were scattered across the ground in every shade of orange and yellow creating the dreamiest backdrop.

We only spent about ten minutes taking portraits but honestly, that’s all we needed. The light was soft, the air crisp and the two of them knew that being able to do portraits first ensured they had more time later with their fave people just soaking up their celebrations. There was no rushing, no stress, just genuine smiles and laughter. It was such a beautiful way for them to spend a few quiet moments together before the day kicked off.

A Ceremony in The Conservatory

Their ceremony took place in The Conservatory at Pavilion Gardens, and oh my goodness, what a space. If you’ve never been, it’s a glasshouse filled with tropical plants, leafy greens, and soft natural light that makes the whole place feel like a secret garden.

As guests arrived, there was this lovely hum of excitement mixed with the gentle rustle of the plants. When Hayley and Hannah walked in together, it felt so right — two brides, two hearts completely in sync.

The ceremony itself was deeply personal. There were tears, smiles, and so much emotion. You could feel how much this moment meant to them, and how much love filled the room. It wasn’t about big gestures or grand statements — it was about connection, authenticity, and celebrating their story surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Drinks, Hugs and All the Happy Chaos

After the ceremony, everyone spilled outside into the gardens for drinks and a relaxed reception. The air was filled with chatter, laughter and the sound of glasses clinking. Everywhere you looked there were hugs, those warm, can’t-stop-smiling kind of hugs that only happen on days like this.

It was such a chilled-out, lush atmosphere with no timelines to worry about, no rushing between moments. Just everyone soaking up the autumn sunshine, celebrating love and catching up over drinks.

The Train Ride of Dreams

And then came one of the best moments of the day, the train ride! Yes, Hayley and Hannah had planned for all their guests to hop aboard the little train that runs around Pavilion Gardens and it was absolutely hilarious. (The fact it was decorated spookily for halloween added to the hilariousness of it too) Picture a train full of happy, slightly giddy wedding guests waving as they trundled through the park, cheering and laughing the whole way. (AND ME RUNNING ALONG SIDE IT, hahaha struggling not to have a heart attack to be honest - I am not a runner)

Speeches & All the Feels

As the evening drew in, everyone gathered for speeches and honestly, they were incredible. There were heartfelt words, bursts of laughter and more than a few happy tears. You could tell how much love everyone had for Hayley and Hannah the kind of love that fills a room and leaves everyone beaming. This is my fave thing about small intimate weddings, they're the most genuine and happiest weddings ever.

A Day That Felt Like Them

What made Hayley & Hannah’s wedding so special was how true to them it all was. There was no pressure to follow traditions or do things a certain way. They created a day that celebrated their love in the most relaxed, genuine way possible, surrounded by people who truly mean the world to them.

From getting ready together in the morning, to the golden autumn leaves, the emotional ceremony and that hilarious train ride, every part of the day was just perfectly them.
