Some weddings just an absolute vibe and Jen and Max's wedding was exactly that. Think bold colours, heartfelt moments, and a whole lot of laughs. This wasn’t your cookie-cutter wedding — it was a celebration bursting with personality, colour, and creativity at one of my personal fave venues, Wilde Lodge, Knighton.

From the moment guests walked into the transformed long barn, with a show stopper of fresh and dried florals. Hiya Petal worked floral magic, turning the space into a vibrant, funky haven. Bright pink and juicy orange florals spilled across every surface, and dried palm leaves added a dose of bold drama — an unexpected but perfect twist that elevated the whole vibe. It was maximalist in the best way and the long barn is gorgeous naturally so it was top tier beauty on Jen & Max's day.

And then there’s Jen — absolute queen of the crafts. She didn’t just bring DIY to the wedding; she owned it. From the bright pink hand sewn signage to the individually embroidered orange napkins at each place setting, everything Jen touched had been made into an extra special thing. It wasn’t just pretty — it was personal. Her attention to detail tied in effortlessly with the florals and made the whole setup sing with colour and character. Oh, and we can't not mention the welcome sign being the cutest photo I'd taken of them both on their pre-wedding photoshoot, which I was absolutely living for because there is no better thing than seeing photo's in print not just on a screen.

Her dress? A 70’s dream. Sourced from Rebel Rock Bridal Wear and designed by Shikoba Bride, Jen’s gown was boho perfection flowing sleeves, intricate detailing, and that unmistakable free spirit energy. She looked like she stepped out of a Fleetwood Mac music video.

The ceremony, led by Seren Celebrant’s Nia, was emotional, powerful, and utterly them. Nia understood the assignment with the decor dressing in a bright pink dress adorned with orange lightning bolts (of course I was obsessed), Nia totally nailed the vibe. The ceremony was heartfelt, raw, and joyful — focusing solely on Jen and Max’s unique love story. There wasn’t a dry eye in the barn, and the love in the room was palpable.

After the “I do’s”, the rest of the day unfolded in the most chilled and lush way — guests laughed, cried (the good kind), and shared in some seriously great speeches that hit just the right note of hilarity and heart. The whole day felt like one big, warm group hug with added fizz.

Later, Jen and Max took a breather from the buzz to slip away for some fun and relaxed couple portraits. With their closest crew in tow, heading up the drive of Wilde Lodge, laughing, posing, and soaking it all in. Then, in true countryside style, they jumped into Wilde Lodge’s own Land Rover for a little adventure down to the river. It was quiet, romantic, and the perfect pause before the party picked up again.

And oh, the party. Pedal Tones Music brought the energy, and the dance floor was buzzing. Jen, Max, and their favourite people danced into the night, ending the day exactly as it had started — full of love, colour, and connection.
