Walcott Hall Wedding Photographer

Lydia spent the morning getting ready in the luxurious wedding suite at Walcot Hall, complete with the most gorgeous morning light. The room was buzzing with excitement, laughter, and the delicate finishing touches of her bridal look. With her hair and makeup done by the talented Rebecca Forshaw Hair & Makeup. Lydia looked radiant as ever. She stepped into her stunning gown from Indie Bride, London with the help of her friend Nikki. The final look was complete with a beautiful veil by the always talented Adorn by Ashley who is so amazing and one of my fave humans ever!

Meanwhile, just a short stroll away on the estate, Adam was getting ready in the cutest little log cabin. Tucked away amidst nature, it was the perfect spot for him to take in the peaceful moments before the day unfolded. Surrounded by his groomsmen, Adam looked sharp in his suit from Peter Posh Suits, with anticipation and excitement building as the ceremony approached.

A Ceremony Steeped in Family and Emotion

The ceremony itself was a deeply personal taking place at Lydbury North Church. The service was made even more special as it was officiated by Lydia's mother, who is a priest, while her stepdad, Jonathon, played the organ. This blend of tradition and family made the moment incredibly meaningful, as they exchanged vows in front of their loved ones.

With their “I dos” sealed, the couple made their way through a shower of confetti, whilst the cheers echoed and they slipped away to a local pub for a moment just for them. It was a chance to catch their breath, share a quiet pint, and soak in the fact they were married before heading back to Walcot Hall for the drinks reception.

Heartfelt Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

Once back at the hall, the day continued with joy and laughter as everyone gathered for the wedding breakfast by Rodriguez Events. Entering the ballroom for their speeches the couple decided to enter like WWE wrestlers, with a belt and everything which sent everyone wild with excitement. Before eating they had the speeches, and one of the standout moments was Lydia’s own speech. She poured her heart out, expressing her love for Adam and her gratitude for everyone who had supported them along the way, talking about the hard times she had faced previously. It was so moving that there wasn’t a dry eye in the room—her words truly touched everyone present.

Fun, Wellies, and Row Boats

After their meal, Lydia and Adam took some time away from the crowd for their portraits. True to their adventurous spirit, they headed out across the stunning grounds of Walcot Hall, with Lydia swapping her wedding shoes for wellies. They had a blast on the estate’s iconic swing, laughing and playing as if they had the world to themselves.

Next came a sweet and picturesque moment as the couple sat on the lake on a charming rowboat. The scene was nothing short of a scene from The Notebook with the heavens opening, and rain came pouring down! Despite the sudden downpour, Lydia and Adam made the most of it, embracing the rain as part of the fun and joy of their day.

The Party Kicks Off

As the sun set, the couple headed back to the hall, ready to kick off the evening celebrations. Their first dance was a beautiful moment, intimate and romantic. But the party was just beginning! After their first dance, Lydia and Adam made a second entrance, this time with a change of clothes that set the tone for the evening. They came out in fun, party-ready outfits, complete with glow sticks and light-up shoes, energising the crowd and getting everyone excited for the night ahead.

With DJ and saxophonist Dan Brunskill providing the perfect soundtrack, the dance floor was packed all night long. Dan’s blend of beats and live sax brought the party to life, ensuring that no one stayed seated for long. I like to call him the sax playing superman, as when he puts that sax on the glasses come off, like Clark Kent. The couple and their guests danced the night away, glow sticks in hand, celebrating in the gorgeous Walcot Hall ballroom.

Testimonial from Lydia & Adam

"Where to even begin? We met Vix at a wedding fair shortly after our engagement. She is so friendly, warm, and genuine! We were sold by Vix's personality, as well as her pictures that capture the silly moments with loved ones—something that describes our relationship well. A key part of our wedding was choosing suppliers with similar values, and Vix truly encompasses that."

"We had a pre-wedding shoot included in our package, and Vix put my nervous partner at ease. The photos are so natural and reflective of real moments. Our expectations were very high after the pre-wedding shoot, and when we received our wedding gallery, they completely exceeded them. The photos are intimate, loving, and capture the craziness on the dance floor. They feel so personal, we’re still holding back from sharing too many."

"There are not enough words to express our thanks and love for Vix. One of a kind and the best in the biz!"
