Fun Stanford wedding, Shropshire
Some weddings just hit from the very moment you arrive, and Natalie and Brogan's wedding at Stanford Farm was exactly that. From a morning filled with excitement and laughter to a dance floor that absolutely erupted by the evening, every part of their day felt so unapologetically THEM which was exactly what they wanted!
Chilled Wedding Morning
One of the things I loved most about their wedding morning was that both Natalie and Brogan got ready in the beautiful farmhouse at Stanford Farm. Now, you might think sharing the same building on your wedding morning would make avoiding each other impossible, but these two absolutely nailed it. Natalie claimed the upstairs while Brogan took over downstairs, (but swapping over to have their hair and makeup done with such amazing planning) creating this close but incredibly exciting buzz. Knowing they were only a staircase apart gave them both the reassurance they're close to each other to the morning without spoiling that emotional first look when they both get to the aisle.
Both of them were surrounded by their favourite people too. Their bestest bitches were there in full force, making sure the morning was packed with support and all the belly laughs. There was such a relaxed energy throughout the house. No stress. No rushing. Just loads of fun!
Then it was time for the ceremony.
And what a ceremony it was.
Led by the incredible Debbie the Celebrant, who is quite frankly an absolute queen, the ceremony couldn't have felt more personal if it tried. Debbie has this amazing ability to tell a couple's story in a way that feels authentic, emotional and genuinely entertaining all at the same time. Every word was perfect for Natalie and Brogan, creating a ceremony that had everyone fully invested from start to finish.
Of course, there was no way Brogan's love of all things theatre wasn't going bring some musical vibes to the ceremony. In one of the most unique and brilliant touches of the day, their choir of friends sang them out of the ceremony and even treated everyone to a performance during it too. It was fun, heartfelt and completely unforgettable.
Get them drinks flowing
Guests spilled out into the sunshine, drinks flowed, yapping bounced around every corner of the court yard and there was just this warm atmosphere of happiness. The kind where nobody wanted to be anywhere else.
Honestly, longer drinks receptions for the win.
This is your time. The moment where the formalities are done, you're finally married and now you get to relax. You can chat with everyone, dish out the cwtches and actually yap to all people you love most. It's such an important part of the day and one that often flies by far too quickly.
And then there was the bouncy castle. Because obviously. While technically available for the kids, let's be honest, this one was definitely for the grown-ups too. It brought endless entertainment throughout the afternoon and gave everyone an excuse to fully embrace their inner child. Watching wedding guests in their finest outfits bouncing around was every bit as brilliant as it sounds.
Time for the speeches
As the guests moved indoors, it was time for the speeches. Yep, speeches before food for the win, always! Getting rid of all them nerves for people having to stand up and speak to a room full of people as soon as possible, so they can relax and enjoy their meal after.
Delivered by some of their favourite people, each speech felt incredibly personal. There were stories that had everyone crying with laughter, memories that brought a few tears and countless reminders of just how loved these two are, by each other and everyone else in the room.
Time away is always a must
After the grub was demolished, I stole Natalie and Brogan away for a little breather and some portraits. Wedding days can be such a whirl wind and having ten minutes together away from the crowd gives couples a chance to slow down, spill all the tea to each other and actually have a snog. Heading off later in the day means you get gorgeous soft evening light and of course, Stanford Farm looking beautiful as it always does!
Naturally, it wouldn't have been complete without a little theatre from Brogan. There had to be a high kick. There was always going to be a high kick. Even with a lingering hen-do injury (sexy ankle brace) making an appearance, Brogan absolutely committed to the moment, like the queen she always is!
lET'S GET SAXY
As the light faded and we headed back towards the party, where Andy Sax, the sax player brought the party energy after the first dance. If you've never experienced a saxophonist weaving through a packed dance floor while belting out absolute bangers, I highly recommend it. IT'S F*CKING FANTASTIC!
The combination of live sax, incredible tunes and a crowd fully committed to having the best night possible created the perfect ending to an already unforgettable day. The dance floor stayed packed, the atmosphere was electric and the celebrations showed no signs of slowing down.
What an absolute belter of a wedding.
