Fun Lyde Court Wedding Photographer
Oh, where do I even begin with Sam and Becky’s incredible wedding at Lyde Court in Hereford? It was one of those days that HIT from start to finish full of absolute fun, colour, music and that kind of effortless love that makes you smile constantly, which gives you cheek ache! Every single detail of their day was just perfect, from the stunning floral design to portraits with a MF plane. LIKE WHAT?
Lyde Court is one of those hidden gem venues that never fails to make you fall a little bit in love with it every time you visit. Hidden away just outside Hereford, the old stone barns, the gorgeous gardens and the most gorgeous bridal suite that will forever be up there as one of my faves!
Lyde Court Wedding
Becky spent her wedding morning in the beautiful Garden Room at Lyde Court a room that never fails to bring the most gorgeous soft lighting, the perfect setting for a relaxed start to the day. Her morning was calm and filled with giggles as she had her makeup done by the talented Amy M and her hair styled beautifully by Michelle Havard. There was no rush, no stress just utterly loveliness.
Becky slipped into her breathtaking gown from The Wedding Quarter in the Bridal Suite. The dress just SLAPPED! Seriously, forever obsessed with how stunning it was. It was like it was made just for her, how it just fitted so perfecly. Becky's gorgeous mama and sissy helped her into it and it was one of those moments I love, where it was just smiles and giggles and no stress just utter giddiness. A few happy tears were shed and then it was time to go get hitched.
Sam's chilled morning
The beauty of a couple getting ready at the same venue means I am able to dash between them both allowing them to both be in the spotlight but also have some time without having a camera around too. Which is just the sweet spot on your wedding day. Sam and his gang were also getting ready at Lyde Court, just across the way. Sam looked effortlessly cool in his tweed suit from Moss Bros, paired with an incredible burnt orange tie from Tie Gardener that brought a pop of colour, which was lush. The lads and best lass who cannot be forgotten, Lucy, the absolute queen shared plenty of laughs before heading down the barn.
Hops, Vows and Happy Tears
The ceremony took place in Lyde Court’s beautiful old barn which is just the most beautiful spot. The space was draped in hops and filled with the most gorgeous florals from Wilde Posies, a dreamy combination of vibrant oranges and pinks. The colours popped perfectly against the rustic stone walls.
Drinks on the Lawn along with Games and some banging sunshine
Everyone spilled out of the barn to shower the couple in confetti whilst heading onto the lawn for reception drinks and games. The vibe was super chilled, guests mingled and the sun shone down as the kids (TBH mainly adults!) got stuck into the lawn games. My absolute favourite? The can knockdown game. I got competitive which is deffo the perfect icebreaker for guests.
Portraits with a Twist and a Plane!
As the golden light began to soften, we snuck away for some portraits & some fun shots with the wedding gang. This is where things got extra fun… because Gary, (FOREVER A BIG FAN OF GARY) who owns Lyde Court, has a plane. Yes, an actual plane! Naturally, it had to happen, we had to get some pix with it because how many wedding's have a plane to play with? BARELY ANY! I mean, how many couples can say they had a plane feature in their wedding portraits? Sam and Becky were totally up for it plus we had a very very very chuffed groomsman who is a little younger than everyone else who is able to go back to school and tell his mates he sat in a cockpit of a plane at his uncles wedding!
The Party – Dancing into the Night
As the sun went down, it was time to head back inside for the party and what a party it was! Party With Millennium took to the stage and wow, they did not disappoint. They’re a retro band with an infectious energy that gets everyone on their feet, and within minutes, the dance floor was full. From throwback classics to modern hits, they had the crowd singing and dancing like there was no tomorrow.
