Winter Wonderland Wedding in Ironbridge, Shropshire
Let’s talk about the enchanting story of Grace and Matt's winter wonderland wedding in the heart of Ironbridge, Shropshire. Picture this: a fairytale setting with a blanket of snow. If you've ever dreamt of a wedding straight out of Narnia, this one's for you. (Just wish you could order this weather for your day if you’re having a winter wedding)
The Valley Hotel in Ironbridge, nestled in the stunning Shropshire countryside, provided the most magical backdrop for this winter wedding wonderland. The quaint, historic town was dusted with snow, turning it into a real-life winter wonderland. I swear, it felt like we had walked right into the pages of C.S. Lewis's masterpiece.
Grace, the absolutely stunning bride, was a vision in white. Her dress, a masterpiece from Jessica's Bridal Shrewsbury, was nothing short of perfection. It was like something out of a fairy tale, with delicate lace and a flowing train that seemed to go on forever. As she walked down the aisle, all eyes were on her, and I have to admit, there might have been a few tears shed from all her friends and family
Matt, was just dashing groom, was equally as charming in his muted green wool suit from Peter Posh. (Not just classic, forever stylish but also warm thank goodness, in this cold weather) Together, they looked like they'd stepped straight out of a storybook.
Makeup Magic by Jules Rhodes
Now, let's talk about that makeup, shall we? Jules Rhodes, the makeup artist extraordinaire, worked her magic on Grace. (Not that Grace needed it, she’s a goddess without too) Her look was the epitome of winter elegance, with soft, smoky eyes, rosy cheeks, and a hint of frosty shimmer on her lips. It was a makeup look that perfectly complemented the snowy wonderland outside.
Snowy Wedding Dream
But what truly set this wedding apart was the snow. It started falling just as the ceremony began. Giant, fluffy flakes drifted down, turning the whole scene into a winter wonderland straight out of a storybook. There's something incredibly romantic about exchanging vows in Grace’s parents church while the world is blanketed in snow, and Grace and Matt couldn't have asked for a more magical moment. We made sure straight after the ceremony on the way to the reception, we had enough time to pop into Ironbridge and create the most magical portraits. We had an absolute ball laughing and exploring the beautiful town which I have to admit, was just perfect.
Perfect Simple Backdrop for The Wedding Group Shots in Ironbridge
After the "I dos," it was time for the group shots. And let me tell you, the snowy landscape provided the most breathtaking backdrop. The contrast of the pristine white snow against the rich colors of the wedding party was nothing short of stunning. Everyone was huddled together, smiling, and even throwing a few snowballs for good measure. It was the kind of scene that you'd expect to see on a holiday card.
Santa Claus was coming to town, yep, to this Wedding reception!
The enchantment didn't end there. The reception was filled with cozy twinkling fairy lights, beautiful pops of red and a warm and inviting atmosphere that made everyone feel like they were in their own little snow globe. Not to mention the holly, ivy, pinecones and Christmas feel which really did get everyone excited for Santa, yup, Santa visited the couple at their reception. This was for the adults as much as the children, it added so much love and laughter to the day. With the bride even having a sit on Santa’s lap and asking for what she wanted for Christmas.
In the end, Grace and Matt's winter wonderland wedding in Ironbridge was nothing short of magical. From the stunning dress and makeup to the unexpected snowfall that turned it into a Narnian dream, it was a day to remember.
