Stylish & Relaxed Town Hall Wedding, Mid Wales

I thought I’d died and gone to sartorial heaven on Mary and Pete’s wedding day at Montgomery Town Hall. These guys and their guests are quite possibly the BEST dressed gang I’ve had the pleasure of shooting, EVA. From the bride’s hot pink shoes (my fave colour, so y’know, obv I LOVED the whole vibe), to the groom’s statement hat (made by the bride, a milliner...I KNOW!) and all of their super stylish wedding guests who rocked up en masse on a vintage coach. This was one good looking wedding day with insane attention to detail, which, as a wedding photographer is always a beaut to shoot!

It’s not often you experience fun and lots of lols during a church ceremony but how could you not with these two? Having done a pre-wedding shoot with them in Shrewsbury I already knew they were the best of mates with the most amazing connection so I was prepared for a day full of entertainment and belly laughs, but maybe not in the church?! They took the marriage bit seriously, of course, but with a big, fat dollop of lighthearted fun!

Did I mention hot pink was the colour of the day? Not only were Mary’s shoes vibrant pink platforms (which I spent the majority of the day swooning over), her bridesmaid wore the same sexy shade, there were pops of pink in her bridal bouquet AND in her awesome acrylic meadow flower hair clips from Wolf and Moon. What a total babe!

But the pink didn’t end there, oh no. The joyful, juicy theme continued through to their wedding breakfast where they had given Montgomery Town Hall the biggest and best glow-up of its 275-year history, well IMO! The thought and detail that went into their wedding decor was flippin’ awesome. The bright orange and pink gerbera daisies totally stole the show, with the Dunbar bottles as candlestick holders coming a close second (their married surname is Dunbar BTW!). There were fistfuls of foliage, discos balls, tropical-coloured candles, a show-stopping pink and orange paper garland AND an awesome green foliage printed runner for the rustic trestle tables. Maybe it shouldn’t work but it did, it really bloody did!

I have a lot of love and admiration for couples who put so much time, effort and thought into how their wedding looks and feels. It doesn’t have to break the bank either; just cool, unique details that suit them and their big, beautiful day to a T! This was perfection babes!

After an incredible grazing, foodie spread these love birds wrapped up their day with a vintage vinyl DJ who played ALL the classics to a pretty well-oiled wedding party who went hard on the dancefloor until it was time to head home - just check out those moves!

What Mary & Pete had to say;
“Vix is simply the best!! Not only is she super talented and gifted at capturing moments, but she also has an incredible way of making people feel comfortable, making people laugh and essentially getting people to do what she needs them to! We bloody love our photos and have enjoyed sharing them with our friends and family. She also doesn’t judge if you get a bit weird (she had to go along with us pretending to box as well as me running in platform high heels). Vix is not just my wedding photographer but now a lovely friend too ❤️❤️❤️ If you’re getting married… book this amazing gal”
